Forex Traders have to be aware of few very important things before starting trading with any forex robots in the forex market. In this article, we will give you tips how to check
these points. Here are they:


1. Keep your metatrading platforms(mt4, mt5) running 24h every day from Monday till Friday. These are the forex market opened hours.

2. Your computer, laptop, and notebook have to work 24h per day, in other words, where you run your forex robots those devices have to work continuesly. You must remove sleep and hibernate mode on these devices, if they exists, or any other mode that will stop the connectivity of your mt4/mt5 with the brokers.

3. "Auto Trading" has to be enabled on your metatrader 4/metatrader 5 trading platforms. It can be find at the top menu.

You have to check if the button is "green", because when it is green this means auto trading is enabled.
 

There is another way of enabling the auto trading. Here it is:

- go to the top menu and choose "Tools->Options". A window will open. On that window you have to choose "Expert Advisors" tab.


 
IMPORTANT: It is required for Volatility Factor 2.0 Pro to allow DLL imports!


As you can see in the picture above you have to put a tick for "Allow automted trading".


4. In addition, you have to check all the charts where you attach the forex robots to make sure "Live trading" is enabled. You can check it:

- right click on the chart


 

- then click "Expert Advisors->Properties"

- a window will pop-up. Here, you have to check "Allow live trading"

5. Except the robot's settings, it is good practice to configure your metatrader 4/metatrader 5 settings too. This way you will guarantee that when you change something in your account, mt4/mt5 will not change your account's settings. It is strongly recommended to be checked:

- go to the top menu and choose "Tools->Options" there you have to choose "Expert Advisors" tab.

In the picture above, we have removed the ticks in the checkboxes to guarantee that if for some reason the account has been changed the robots will still work, so mt4/mt5 will not change settings.

6. In order to start trading with forex robots, it is required to have enough balance in your account. If your account balance is low the robots may not trade at all.


7. When you finish checking the points listed above, it is start trading and monitoring your mt4/mt5 trading platforms. You have to check often "journal/experts" tabs. When their appear some issues or problems mt4/mt5 will let you know about them and all these messages are written in the log files. Therefore, the logs will help you find out what caused these issues.
